Healthcare and clinics

A clinic phone system for answering and routing patient calls.

Front-desk answering, department menus, and after-hours voicemail help patients reach the right place—without overwhelming the reception desk.

A business team coordinating customer calls across office and field work

Front desk support

From the reception desk to the right department.

Callers hear a menu or reach a ring group, and missed calls become voicemail your team can return. You stay responsible for your patient-privacy obligations.

D Line handles calling and messaging.

D Line stores call recordings, voicemail, transcripts, and messages, which can include patient information. A HIPAA Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is available on request: email support@d-line.app to talk to us about your HIPAA requirements before using it for patient calls.

Healthcare questions

Answers for clinics and healthcare offices.

Is D Line HIPAA compliant?

D Line does not claim HIPAA compliance, and there is no official HIPAA certification. D Line stores call recordings, voicemail, transcripts, and messages that can include patient information. A Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is available on request. Email support@d-line.app to talk to us about your HIPAA requirements before using D Line for patient calls.

What safeguards does D Line use?

Recordings, voicemail, and faxes are kept in private storage rather than at public web addresses, recording playback links expire, the web and apps connect over encrypted connections, and two-factor sign-in is available. These safeguards alone do not meet HIPAA's requirements.

Can we route to departments?

Yes. Menus and ring groups direct callers to the right department.

What about after-hours calls?

Business hours route after-hours calls to voicemail or another team.

Can patients text the clinic?

Where SMS is enabled, you can message patients—subject to your own privacy obligations.
